Dr. Louis Mauna is the proud owner of Sendero Animal Hospital. Dr. Mauna has dedicated his life to providing compassionate care to his clients over his many years of practice. After graduating from UCLA in 1998, Dr. Mauna attended Ross University and completed his final year of veterinary school at the University of Missouri, Columbia. Dr. Mauna and his wife Kelly are proud parents to two beautiful children - Korie and Landen. In his spare time Dr. Mauna enjoys CrossFit and living an active lifestyle.
Dr. Sarah Singleton-Dorsey is our newest veterinarian. After doing a 1 year rotating internship at Southern California Veterinary Specialty Hospital (now Blue Pearl) we were lucky enough to hire her here, full time. Dr. Dorsey lives on Oceanside with her husband, their lab, Scout, and their 3 cats, Rocco, Elvis and Little Girl, and she also has a horse named Pedro. In her spare time Dr. Singleton-Dorsey enjoys reading, scuba diving, traveling, and having a good time with her friends and family. Her love of science, people and animals is what makes her a wonderful vet.
Dr. Annette graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. Upon completion of her internship at VCA West Los Angeles Dr. Annette practiced in the South Bay area for 15 years. Dr. Annette has a special interest in Dentistry and is certified in Veterinary Acupuncture. She lives in Ladera Ranch with her husband and two sons. We are so lucky to have her on our team!
Melissa was born and raised in Southern California and has been in the veterinary field for over 20 years. She lives in San Juan Capistrano with her two sons, two dogs, and an Egyptian Uromastyx lizard. She is also a huge possum advocate. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her sons and being outdoors.
Shay is a California native with a passion for animals and hockey. She has been in the business for 12 years. She lives in Rancho Mission Viejo with her boyfriend, Joe, and their two dogs. When Shay isn’t at work, you can find her hiking and painting.
Gio was also born in California but has also lived in Mexico. Gio and his dog live in Ladera Ranch together, and can be found playing video games, and airsoft guns in their spare time.
Liz is a native to southern California and has been in the field for about 20 years. She lives in Capistrano Beach with her special needs cat, Myra. When Liz isn’t at work, you can find her fishing, hiking, and spending time with her friends and family.
Karen has been in the veterinary field for four years and lives in San Juan Capistrano with her shepherd, Lobo. Karen loves singing, going to the beach, and playing her ukulele, as well as playing basketball.
