Dr. Louis Mauna is the proud owner of Sendero Animal Hospital. Dr. Mauna has dedicated his life to providing compassionate care to his clients over his many years of practice. After graduating from UCLA in 1998, Dr. Mauna attended Ross University and completed his final year of veterinary school at the University of Missouri, Columbia. Dr. Mauna and his wife Kelly are proud parents to two beautiful children - Korie and Landen. In his spare time Dr. Mauna enjoys CrossFit and living an active lifestyle.
Dr. Frances Tiberi is a Ladera Ranch local who has been practicing in Orange County for over 20 years. She earned her BFA from the University of Utah and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Ohio State University. Her areas of interest include internal medicine, preventative care and dentistry. Dr. Tiberi lives a very active lifestyle with her husband, two sons, their dog, two cats and four spoiled guinea pigs. When not in the clinic, Dr. Tiberi loves training at Orange Theory, spending time at the beach, cooking, gardening and being a baseball mom!
Dr. Ryan Bloeser is a 2000 graduate of the Royal College of Veterinary Studies at Edinburgh. Following an internship in equine medicine in Palo Alto, California. He then moved to Golden, Colorado and joined a small practice. His love of family, and the ocean eventually led him back to California where he has been practicing ever since. Dr. Ryan's special interests include internal medicine and soft tissue surgery. In his free time, he enjoys paragliding, writing, and spending time with his wife and 2 boys, along with their dogs, Rupert and Wilbur.
Dr. Rachel Stanaland was born and raised in South Orange County. She attended the University of Southern California before graduating from St. George’s University as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Stanaland completed her clinical rotations at North Carolina State University. She has special interests in dermatology, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Stanaland also volunteers her services weekly to the Pacific Marine Mammal Center, working with seals and sea lions. She and her husband, John, enjoy traveling, boating, and their German Shepherd, Buddy!
Dr. Thakran graduated from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. She then completed a one-year small animal rotating internship with specific training in emergency medicine, surgery, internal medicine, and oncology, and has worked in various positions in small animal general and emergency practice. Her interests include surgery, dermatology, internal medicine, and urgent care. She enjoys counseling owners on all stages of life, from pediatrics to ways to improve mobility and quality of life as patients age, and end-of-life care. She also finds great satisfaction in working with clients as a team to tailor therapies to each individual pet, and to solve the mystery of what ails them. Dr. Thakran is excited to be bringing her wealth of experience to Sendero Animal Hospital and hopes to treat all of her patients like her own family.
Dr. Thakran is a native to Southern California but spent the greater part of her adult life in Northern California. In 2019 she moved to the Temecula/Murrieta area and couldn’t be happier to be living in one of the most beautiful regions in the state. Outside of work, she enjoys wine tasting, cooking, trying new restaurants, traveling, and spending time with her husband, stepkids, and friends. Her furry family includes 2 dogs and 4 cats.
Melissa was born and raised in Southern California. She has been in the veterinary field for over 20 years. She lives in San Juan Capistrano with her two sons, two dogs, and an Egyptian Uromastyx. In her spare time, she likes spending time with her sons, being outdoors, and going fishing. She has a soft spot for possums. Melissa is working towards getting her CVPM this year!
Josh has been a veterinary technician for over 20 years and became a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2008. His specialties are dentistry and critical care. When Josh isn't at work, you can find him doing anything active, especially running. Josh lives with his wife, a turtle, a cat, and a fish tank full of cichlids.
Allie was born and raised in San Clemente. She became a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2020. She has a rescue horse, named “Willow” and 2 dogs, Maverik and Lilo. She lives in Dana Point with her husband and her daughter. In her free time, she enjoys working on horsemanship with her horse, jogging, and off-roading.
Natalie was born in Bellflower, but raised in Anaheim. She has been in the veterinary field for almost 3 years. You can find Nat and her chihuahua, Zoey, going to parks, and enjoying puppuccinos. In her free time, she enjoys playing video games, cooking and perfecting delicious meals, and taking long walks on the beach. Sitting for the VTNE in early 2022!
McKenna has been in the veterinary field for 2 years, and earned her RVT in March of 2022. She was born in Southern California, but has also lived in Canada. She has a dog named Dusty who was found wandering in the desert, and turned out to be the best dog ever! When McKenna isn't working, you can find her snowboarding, surfing, horseback riding, or off roading in the desert.
Gio was born in California but has also lived in Mexico. Gio lives with his girlfriend, and their two cats, Sushi, and Nour, in Mission Viejo. In his spare time, he can be found fishing, gardening, going to the zoo, and airsofting.
Dominique grew up in Southern California where her passions were travel soft ball, and showing horses. Growing up in the barn is what made her want to pursue her career in veterinary medicine. In her free time you can find her in Lake Havasu, off roading in the desert, fishing and spending time with her Staffie mix, Rambo.
McKenzie has lived in California for about 8 years now, having moved from Florida where she spent most of her time working on farms, and cattle ranches. She enjoys being outdoors, mostly hiking with her Catahoula Leopard Dog, Sadie Mae. Her favorite animals are cows
Laurie is a California native that lives in Trabuco Canyon with her husband and 2 cats. In her spare time, Laurie likes to travel, and is an excellent baker!
Sam O. was born and raised in Southern California. She has been in the veterinary industry for about 12 years now. She lives in Trabuco Canyon with her 3 1/2 year old daughter, her Golden Retriever, Hank, and her Maltese, Bebe. When she's not hard at work here, you can find her fishing, or visiting Disneyland.
Nicole was born in Glasgow, Scotland. She now resides in Ladera Ranch with her Maltese, Toby, and her two guinea pigs. She has two grown children and enjoys music, documentaries, and loves orangutans.
Angie was raised in Ladera Ranch and has been working in the veterinary field for two years. She graduated from Seton Hall University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. In her free time, Angie volunteers with the husbandry department at the Aquarium of the Pacific. She hopes to be accepted to vet school, where her goal is to study zoo medicine.
